Climate & Capital Media was founded with a clear goal: to tell the stories that legacy financial and environmental media had missed. Through original journalism, data-driven insights, and expert voices, the platform aimed to engage investors, innovators, and changemakers committed to building a climate-conscious economy.
To succeed, the brand needed to communicate both urgency and trust, progress and pragmatism. It needed to feel globally relevant yet rooted in journalistic integrity. Our task was to create an identity system that could hold all of that—and flex across digital publishing, editorial design, events, and investment tools.
APPROACH
We partnered with the Climate & Capital founding team from day one, shaping the visual and verbal identity alongside the organization’s editorial strategy and business vision. The core idea we kept returning to was climate fluency: the ability to speak truthfully and credibly to both climate risk and financial opportunity. That insight became the foundation of the brand system.
The logo and typography reflect clarity, intelligence, and editorial authority. The ampersand—subtle but intentional—underscores the platform’s role as a connector between worlds: between capital and climate, urgency and opportunity, information and action. The color palette moves between cool and warm tones, signaling both the planetary and human dimensions of the climate economy.
We developed a modular layout grid and type hierarchy designed for journalism—flexible enough to accommodate features, briefs, op-eds, and data tools. The voice of the brand was shaped to balance clarity and conviction: informed, globally fluent, and unafraid to challenge the status quo.
RESULTS
Climate & Capital launched with a fully realized brand system that supported its ambitions as a media platform, thought leadership engine, and trusted source of climate investment insight. The identity created space for nuance, depth, and energy, helping the editorial and design teams stay consistent across fast-moving content and new formats.
As the organization grew, it expanded into new offerings—most notably Climate Connect Club, a curated digital platform and membership community for climate founders, funders, and corporate leaders. The sub-brand builds directly on the visual and verbal foundation we developed. Using the same type system, color palette, and editorial tone, the team was able to extend the parent brand into a more human, community-driven expression. Climate Connect Club introduces new iconography, interaction patterns, and conversational copywriting, while staying unmistakably part of the Climate & Capital family.
This seamless expansion affirmed the flexibility of the brand system—and demonstrated its ability to support not just media, but movement-building.
