Random House sought a digital campaign that would captivate readers through a unique and immersive experience. The project required the creation of a website styled as a tabloid newspaper, reflecting the book’s suspenseful and gritty tone. To maintain engagement leading up to the release, we produced three teaser videos that were strategically launched in sequence.

APPROACH

We developed a website styled as a tabloid newspaper, complete with attention-grabbing headlines, gritty visual elements, and layered content sections that mirrored the fragmented storytelling within the book. This format not only captured the unsettling atmosphere of the novel but also allowed us to introduce the characters and plot through interactive news articles, faux interviews, and breaking news snippets.

 

To build anticipation, we crafted three distinct teaser videos that were launched in a staggered fashion. Each video offered a glimpse into the book’s dark world, blending moody visuals with ominous audio cues. The progressive release schedule kept the audience intrigued, drawing them deeper into the story’s central mystery.

 

RESULTS

The digital campaign for The Darkest Corners successfully built a sense of curiosity and excitement among potential readers. The immersive website experience, paired with the timed release of the teaser videos, amplified pre-release buzz and encouraged active engagement across social media channels.
