Tenet Life emerged from a collaboration between Jessica Richards and Jill Freeman of Shen Beauty, aiming to redefine lip care with a product that seamlessly blends sheer color with the therapeutic benefits of CBD oil. They engaged us from the outset to craft a brand identity and packaging that would encapsulate their innovative vision and resonate in a competitive beauty market.

In the saturated landscape of lip products, Tenet Life sought to introduce a unique offering: a 100% sheer color stain that subtly tints the lips, enhanced with the calming properties of CBD oil. This formulation promised not only aesthetic appeal but also holistic lip care, setting it apart from conventional products. Our challenge was to translate this distinctive blend into a brand and packaging that would captivate and inform consumers.

 

 

APPROACH

 

Our collaboration with Tenet Life began with comprehensive market research to understand the existing beauty landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation. Insights from this research informed the development of a brand identity that exudes elegance, modernity, and wellness.

 

A pivotal aspect of our design process was the creation of a proprietary bottle shape. Working closely with manufacturers, we engineered an internal silhouette where the stain fills the bullet, mirroring the classic form of a lipstick. This design not only pays homage to traditional lip products but also offers a contemporary twist that aligns with Tenet Life’s innovative essence.

 

To ensure coherence between the product’s formulation and its presentation, we maintained close communication with the Tenet Life lab during development. This synergy allowed us to craft a tone of voice and visual language that authentically reflects the product’s ingredients and benefits.

RESULTS

The culmination of our efforts is a brand and packaging system that encapsulates Tenet Life’s mission and appeals to discerning beauty consumers. The unique bottle design has become a hallmark of the brand, distinguishing it on retail shelves and in digital marketplaces. The cohesive visual and verbal identity has facilitated strong connections with the target audience, fostering brand recognition and loyalty.
